45min 10k is good. welsh your "good" times are VERY good for 40 yo woman! 20 min 5K and 45 min 10K would maybe get you a podium finish in smaller races (especially if there are age category prizes). I would say sub 30 5k is a good goal for someone who had recently taken up running but is fit and committed.
